Regional Traffic is one of the better and more useful Google Maps API mashups I’ve seen. When(if) I get an iPhone, I could actually see myself using this. That’s an improvement from most ‘tools’ where you think ‘yeah, that’s nice, but I’ll never use it in real life’.  Kudos to the chaps behind the site!

A really engaging alternative reality game by Penguin, utilising Google Maps.

There are lots of sites that use the Google Maps API, but none quite like this. The only dissapointing thing is you can’t pause the Google Maps animation as you pause the video. Obviously both have to be timed to stay in synch with each other, but it is nicely done nonetheless.
